Although I have never tried the "downey dunk", I think I would start with this Lindsey. Poor thing deserves a cleaner hairdo!

wowie...she is need of one and then a good wig cleaning. WOWIE. She has been loved. Great place to start then I would set her into curlers. Over a few days in curlers spritzing with water I figure she will be right back to what you are looking for.
That is a challenge I would love to take on!

Hi yes I would absolutely do the downey dunk!! I have done it on 5 dolls now, One worse then that.. I first washed the hair in baby shampoo, then I did the downey dunk the last doll I did was in really bad shape I soaked her hair for 5 hrs !!!then make sure to rinse really well on my lindsey I had to go back and rinse again after her hair dried because I didn't rinse it out well enough ,I then steamed her hair I also did this on Lindsey I then set her hair in rollers and then steamed them then I let them sit until the next day , Now she has Beautiful waves and curls. You will be very happy with the results..

Whoa, that's amazing! I just looked at a picture of Lindsey in an old catalog, and then I looked at that picture. Wow, good luck with that hair!

Tracy, she looks real to me. Good luck on her hair. Wow! she is really needing some help. I'm sure the Downey treatment will help her. I think if you look in Joy's album, she shows how to get the curl back into a doll's hair. Please let us know how it goes

Tracey, she really needs some attention to her hair. Then she will be the beautiful Lindsey of your dreams! The process is so much easier than I thought. I thought it would be dull and time-consuming. But I just finished Kaya's treatment a few minutes ago and couldn't believe the tremendous difference. Her ends were so frizzy! But steam, steam and more steaming made all the difference. And it was fun to see her transformation. She's standing next to me and wants to encourage you to give Lindsey some much-needed help!
